About:
To commemorate the running of the World Trail Running Championships www.worldtrailwales2013.org (who are competing over 75km/47 miles!), there is an opportunity for runners to participate in an Open 10km on part of the 'World Trail Championships Course'. There will be opportunities to join in the festivities with Children's races and activities, stalls and the completion of the World Trail Championship (about 3:30pm) in the Gwydir Park area near the historic town of Llanrwst. |

Race Information:
The Open 10km is a 9:15am start (which follows the World Championships at 9:00am) on a challenging 10km loop; starting and finishing on tarmac; near the Llanrwst Bridge, with an undulating lap of the Gwydyr Forest. The route weaves through the landmarks of Saw Bench, Pen Parc, Piccadilly and Draws Gwyn before dropping down 'the Bowling Green' and return to Saw Bench and Gwydir Park finish. Well marshalled. Technical T Shirt and memento for all finishers. The event incorporates the Welsh Short Trail Championships plus an international field.
