The whole family can enjoy an adventure in nature.You will sweat, you will suffer, but you will enjoy every moment and never forget this awesome experience. We also offer a trail run for you running freaks and great fun for the kiddies. Afterwards, while watching the sun set colorfully behind the thorn trees, join your fellow competitors, supporters and spectators for a true "boere"-hospitality braai. The Tri-Nations game between South Africa and New Zealand will be broadcast on big screen for all the rugby fans. So grab your bike and tekkies and enjoy true boere-hospitality on North Western soil. |

The Route:
What you can expect from the route...
Our start and finish is located at Uurpan Safari Lodge, a stunning venue 10km outside Schweizer Reneke. For the first half of the 70km MTB route you will ride through some of Uurpans beautiful scenery on some custom made single track. There will also be enough jeep track and dirt road for the racing snakes to pass the slower riders - that came to enjoy the scenery. After a few short but technical climbs you will leave Uurpan and cross the Christiana tar road where you will be riding on the outskirts of Schweizer. After crossing the Vryburg tar road you wil enter some of the locals farming ground, it is flat and fast until you hit some short but steap climbs bringing you back to Schweizer. A quick visit to Wentzel dam takes you through Schweizer where you will cross over the Hartsriver taking you back to Uurpan.
The 30km and 10km mtb route and the Trail run will all take place in Uurpan.

This event is being timed with the ChampionChip system and therefore you are required to own a ChampionChip to participate in the event. To ensure that you are accurately recorded in the Race Results it is important that you are in possession of your ChampionChip that is correctly registered in your name. If you do not currently have a ChampionChip or want to verify that it is correctly registered, this can be done on the Internet at www.championchip.co.za or by contacting ChampionChip Africa on 0861 100 963. Your ChampionChip code must be entered on this entry form. Your ChampionChip MUST be correctly attached to the bottom of the front fork of your bicycle using a ChampionChip Bike Clip. For correct attachment instructions please visit www.championchip.co.za. No corrections or manual updates will be done due to incorrect us of the ChampionChip or not abiding by the race rules.
To be taken in considiration for the prizes participants should have a chip. There will be chips available on the day of the race. The prices are: R35 to hire and R100 to buy a chip.
To participate in the 70km mountain bike event participants should have a license. There will be day licenses available on the day at R35.
