About:
HBF Geraldton RunFest is festival of running, walking and health around the traditional Marathon event. The Marathon is an IAAF accredited event taking in the magnificent Champion Bay and many iconic landmarks of the City.
This year the weekend takes the format of race pack pick up and last minute registrations from 12:00pm on Saturday, followed by a variable distance Junior RunFest at 4:00pm and the pre-event welcome function that evening. The 15th Annual Geraldton Marathon and associated event categories will take place from 7:00am on Sunday morning, alongside a "Festival", culminating in formal presentations and entertainment in the afternoon and evening.
The location is again centred around the Geraldton Foreshore, incorporating Champion Bay, and taking in local icons such as Point Moore Lighthouse, the Grain Silos, City Foreshore, St George's Beach and the Chapman River. Formal event functions will be held in the Geraldton Yacht Club, with the event start and finish on the nearby foreshore grounds. |
