Date: 02/01/2016
Location: Cottesloe Beach, Perth
About:
The Cottesloe Classic Mile is a 1600m ocean swim starting and finishing at Cottesloe Beach, first held in 1984 and conducted by the Cottesloe Surf Life Saving Club Inc. In 2016 we have introduced two other distances, one for those swimmers wanting a longer race and one for novices and juniors. These are the Cottesloe Distance Classic of 3000m and the Cottesloe Novice Classic of 400m.

Cottesloe Surf Life Saving Club (Cottesloe SLSC) is Western Australia's first surf life saving club. Established in the spring of 1909, Cottesloe SLSC is among the first surf life saving clubs in Australia and was instrumental in the Surf Life Saving movement in Western Australia.
