About: Challenge Herning 2017
On june 10th 2017 Herning will be dressed up and ready to host the party for triathletes from all over the world. The swim will be in Lake Fuglsang as it has been for the last two Challenge Denmark events. But instead of going south, the bike and run course will in 2017 be centered in and around Herning, where the finishline will also be.
You can do the race alone or you can enter as a relay team with 2 or 3 athletes on a team dividing the disciplines between you.
Distance: 1,9 km swim - 90 km bike - 21,1 km run
Triathlon Middle Distance European Championship 2017
To participate in the Official European Championship, you need to register through your national federation. All national federations have a special voucher code to unlock the European Championship registration on this page. The registration is for Elite, AG and Para triathletes. There are 20 spots per AG per NF per Gender. If your national federation does not authorize you for one of the 20 spots in your Age Group, you will remain in the open race.
All participants in Triathlon Middle Distance European Championship 2017 must wear the official national tricot during the race. All Danish participants in the championship must have a license through a local club.
Open Race
Open race is on the same course as the Official European Championship, but you will not become the Official European Champion if you finish first in your age group. For this you must enter through your national federation and follow the steps above. It is not mandatory to race in the national tricot in the open race but it is welcome and you can enter with an event license.
