About:
A beautiful Ultra-Marathon fusing together 50 Miles of some of the best Trails in the region.
Following the Marches Way beside the River Dee and into the heart of Chester going over the Old Dee Bridge, under the Grosvenor Bridge, running beside Chester Racecourse and onto the Shropshire Canal towpath, the North Cheshire Way, the Mid Cheshire Way, and then heading onto the Sandstone Trail, taking on Helsby Hill, Frodsham and Alvanley Cliff. The route then heads through Delamere Forest and Nettleford Wood before rejoining the Shropshire Canal at Wharton's Lock and returning to Chester. This fantastic route is further complemented by Checkpoints en route that support Ultra-runners during the 50 Miles, including Dunham Hill & Hapsford Village Hall located close to midway.

5.30am - 6.00am Race Briefing.
6am Race Start.
14 hour cut off - 8pm
Top 50 finishers earn a Gold 'Chester Ultra' Medal, 51-100 finishers earn a Silver 'Chester Ultra' Medal and 101+ finishers earn the Bronze 'Chester Ultra' Medal.
There are additional prizes for the Top 3 Male and Top 3 Female finishers. |
