The Race
A Unique 214 mile (345km) Ultra-Marathon following the Southern Upland Way from Portpatrick to Cocksburnspath earning an amazing 'Ultra Great Britain' Buckle. It is one of the most beautiful routes on the British Isles if not the best there is.  The Southern Upland Way is simply unique... At times the Way reflects back to us the turbulent history between Scotland and England, and the voices and the lessons of the past in the 'Killing times' of the 1600's.  This eye-opening route is a marked trail with approximately 7648m of ascent and is Scotland's only official Coast-to-Coast. Village Halls across Scotland unite to support runners taking on the challenge of the #RaceAcrossGreatBritain and the #RaceAcrossScotland.
A 100 hour cut off welcomes all into the event, with cut-offs at each Village Hall. It is technically a non-stop event but limited rest is permitted and medical support is available at Village Halls en route.
Top 3 Male and Top 3 Female Finishers earn an outstanding two-tone 214 Mile 'Ultra Great Britain' Buckle. Top 25 Finishers earn an incredible Gold 214 Mile 'Ultra Great Britain' Buckle. 26-50 Placed Finishers earn an amazing Silver 214 Mile 'Ultra Great Britain' Buckle. 51+ Finishers earn the beautiful Bronze 214 Mile 'Ultra Great Britain' Buckle.
