Date: 16/04/2017 Location: Bro Ddyfi Leisure Centre About: Cerist Triathlon Club's annual Junior Aquathlon is based at the Bro Ddyfi leisure centre in Machynlleth, Mid Wales on Sunday 16th, April and is open to 5-16 year olds (age on 31/12/17). This popular swim / run race is a great introduction to the world of triathlon, and also provides a competitive challenge for more experienced triathletes. For the youngest age group, Cerist Kidz, there will be assistance available from female marshals at transition if required. The Cerist Junior Aquathlon uses electronic chip timing and will be the first race in the Welsh Triathlon TriStars Series 2017. Registration 09:45 to 11:15am Race Brief / Course Familiarisation 11:15am (approx.) Race Start 12:00pm (approx.) **For full event information please see the Cerist Tri Club website** Age Categories (age) & Swim / Run Distances Cerist Kidz (5-7) 40m Swim / 500m Run TriStart (8) 40m Swim / 500m Run TriStars 1 (9-10) 120m Swim / 1500m Run TriStars 2 (11-12) 240m Swim / 2000m Run TriStars 3 (13-14) 360m Swim / 2500m Run Youth (15-16) 400m Swim / 3000m Run Age calculated as per BTF rules - age on 31/12/17 The swim is in a 20 metre pool. The main part of the run is around playing fields which may be uneven, muddy and slippery in places. Please ensure that appropriate footwear is worn. All distances in accordance with BTF Rules. Maximum Entries 150 competitors. Entries close at midnight on 13/04/2017. No on-the-day entries accepted!
