About: The Vaal River City Marathon is part of the Vaal River City Carnival held from 27 August to 2 October in the Vaal.
This inaugural event is to be held in conjunction with the Lekoa Athletics Club and Sechaba Nongi (Pty) Ltd.
The race director also organizes the Cape Gate Vaal Marathon.
This event is an early qualifier for both the Two Oceans Marathon and the Comrades Marathon.
This is fast easy qualifier that will be timed Mat to Mat for the best time possible.
