About: Dorothy Nyembe Marathon in Dundee is celebrating Reconciliation Day by bringing the community together through fitness and reunion of all Nations.
What better way to spend the day than by running while giving back for a great cause?
The event consists of a 5km.
The 5km starts at 7h30 and will finish at the Dundee Oval Stadium.
Walkers are welcome.
DOROTHY NYEMBE was one of a generation of forceful women whose courage, energy and commitment helped to bring down the regime of apartheid.
She spent 18 years in prison in South Africa during the bleakest period of "the struggle".
The race is a Comrades Qualifier and results will automatically be uploaded as your qualifying time to your Comrades entry.
The 2018 Dorothy Nyembe race will take place on the 16th December 2018, however we regret to inform you that the 42km, 21km and 10km will no longer be taking place. All current 42km, 21km and 10km entries will have their payments refunded. The organiser apologises for any inconvenience that may have been caused.
