About: Over the years the Old Mutual Soweto Marathon has attracted many runners from all over the country and the world, and we have realised that a certain percentage of runners are unable to pay for accommodation due to circumstances beyond their control and economic reasons, and many of those runners coming from disadvantaged backgrounds; to reduce their burden, the organisers will be providing accommodation in enabling them to be part of the race.
Athletes will be accommodated at the Morris Issacson High School opposite the June 16th Memorial Acre in Soweto where the class of 1976 marched from in contributing to the Freedom we enjoy today.
