About: This is the 7th edition of the Freedom Ride which will be held on Sunday 28th October 2018 starting at 07h00.
It is a 35km loop from Bertha Street, Braamfontein to Vilikazi Street Soweto and back.
It is a social ride to celebrate the legacy of Nelson Mandela and promoting cycling as a form of transport empowering local economic development.
It is a fun and free for all social ride, not a race and not timed. We hope to attract new and novice cyclists, young and old; and to connect communities and overcoming social barriers.
Although there is no charge to enter, we strongly encourage riders to donate to Qhubeka.
