About:
The Race:
Snowdon stands proudly as the highest Mountain in Wales at 1,085m and in 2019 the 2nd Edition 50 & 100 Mile Snowdon Ultra-Marathon takes place!
Both the 50 & 100 fuse together some of the very best trails within the Snowdonia National Park with maximum support from the GB Ultras team (50 Mile route has 7 Checkpoints and the 100 Mile has 13 Checkpoints).
Runners take in 4192m of ascent in the 50 Mile and 7436m of ascent in the 100 Mile option with summits of Beautiful peaks in the Snowdon, Glyderau and Carneddau mountain range's. Both of the Events are unmarked routes, and will demand the very best out of its runners as a Navigation Event. Please also see mandatory kit on the Race website www.GBUltras.com. Runners must be experienced Ultra-runners and have the ability to use a map and compass competently in order to ensure their own safety throughout the Race.
In true GB Ultras tradition, there is also the opportunity to take part in a number of completely 'Free of Charge' Training runs in the lead up to the Event to ensure maximum confidence of the route prior to Race day and to further support runners taking on Snowdon Ultra.

5.45am Race Briefing.
6am Race Start.
50 Mile: 24 hour cut off - 6am Sunday
Top 100 finishers earn a Gold 'Snowdon Ultra' Medal, 101-200 finishers earn a Silver 'Snowdon Ultra' Medal and 201+ finishers earn the Bronze 'Snowdon Ultra' Medal.
There are additional Bespoke Trophies for the Top 3 Male and Top 3 Female finishers and for the 1st 3 Teams (based on the accumulated times of their first 3 runners).
100 Mile: 48 hour cut off - 6am Monday
Top 25 finishers earn a Gold 'Snowdon Ultra 100' Buckle, 26 - 50 finishers earn a Silver 'Snowdon Ultra 100' Buckle and 51+ finishers earn the Bronze 'Snowdon Ultra 100' Buckle.
There are additional Bespoke Trophies for the Top 3 Male and Top 3 Female finishers. |
