About: The Psychwell Mental Health Walkathon aims at raising awareness and dealing with the myths surrounding Mental illness. Empowering the public with information and resources that will assist them when confronted with Mental Health Challenges. Eradicating discrimination directed at those experiencing Mental Health Challenges. Encouraging those suffering from mental illness to take their medication as prescribed in order to reach desired emotional, psychological and psychiatric stability. Permeating the structures of our society and fostering a collective responsibility and accountability in managing Mental Health issues which contribute to primary and secondary social and medical challenges. Changing the narrative with regards to Mental Health and stigma surrounding it. Promoting healthy relationships in marriages, families, schools, society and workplaces.
