About: Over the years the Soweto Marathon has attracted many runners from all over the country and the world, and we have realised that a certain percentage of runners are unable to pay for accommodation due to circumstances beyond their control, be it economic reasons, or runners coming from disadvantaged backgrounds. To reduce their burden, the organisers will be providing accommodation to the first 600 successful applicants, to enable them to be part of the race.
Athletes will be accommodated at the Orlando West High School (Matseke) in the Vilakazi Precinct, Soweto.
