About: We invite you to join us for the 6th annual Mandela Remembrance Walk and Run to celebrate Nelson Mandela's legacy! This year, the event will be held on Sunday 8 December 2019 from 7am at the Union Buildings.
We will have a 21km and 10km run as well as a 5km walk. Runners and walkers of all abilities are invited to join us.
There will be plenty of entertainment throughout the day - music, food, a kids zone and aerobic action on the lawns.
Discovery Vitality members participating in this year's Mandela Remembrance Walk & Run will earn up to 1500 fitness points for completing the 21km run and 600 fitness points for completing the 10km.
Your entry fee includes a Mandela Remembrance Walk & Run 2019 bag, hat, t-shirt, medal for those who finish and loads of other goodies. All proceeds raised will be donated to the Nelson Mandela Foundation to continue with the work the Foundation does and to preserve and promote Madiba's legacy.
