The KwaZulu-Natal Department of Sport and Recreation in partnership with KwaZulu-Natal Athletics and the Comrades Marathon Association hosts the inaugural Virtual KZN Youth Run as part of activities on 18 and 19 July 2020.
The Youth Run has become a highlight on the KwaZulu-Natal Athletics calendar, attracting athletes from all over the country. The Run forms part of the Department's Mass Participation Programme, encouraging healthy lifestyles and identifying potential talented athletes for the road.
As the country fights the invisible Covid-19 pandemic, a highly visible epidemic of gender-based violence continues to affect women and children each day. We encourage the youth to make a stand against Gender-Based Violence. We challenge YOU to run, walk or jog against GBV. Carry your placard, run your race. Everyone is welcome to participate. There is no entry fee for this event.
