About:
Cerist Triathlon Club are introducing a new race for 2022.
7 Glyndŵr 7 will start near the Owain Glyndŵr Parliament House in Machynlleth, and follow a popular run route for the club along part of Glyndŵr's Way before finishing by the Owain Glyndŵr memorial at the Plas Grounds.
Coming 2 days after Owain Glyndŵr Day, this is the perfect time to introduce this route, which is an interesting and challenging 7 miles, climbing the Roman Steps out of Machynlleth, and taking in farm tracks, technical trail and fire roads.
We are also holding this race in memory of John Williams, our friend, former club secretary, and one who has inspired many of us to run and appreciate our beautiful surroundings. We will be raising money for the Lymphoma Research Foundation in John's memory. Please donate when entering the race if you can. Many thanks.
Approximate ascent: 400 meters
Open to age 17+ (age on 31/12/2022)
Event held in accordance with Welsh Athletics rules and regulations.
