About: Johannesburg Harriers AC are proud to present the 77th Jackie Gibson Marathon and the 10th Allan Ferguson Half Marathon together with a 10km run on the 19th March 2023.
There will be an early bird special if you enter before 31 December 2022; normal fees will apply from 1 January 2023.
All finishers within the 12h00 cut-off will receive a medal.
Your race number will include a timing chip and timing will be based on mat-to-mat for both the 21km & 42km events. This is an essential Comrades qualifier or if already qualified is excellent training preparation.
Discovery Vitality points are on offer for all online entrants who agree to their results being shared with Vitality.
Starting times
21.1km & 42.2km at 6h00
10km at 6h30
Walkers welcome on the half marathon only and cut-off times for the 21.1 & 42.2km will be strictly 12h00 and no marathon athlete will be allowed to do the second lap after 08h45. Event support will be withdrawn after this time and for your own safety request that you leave the route.
