About: The Raate marathon is run on the Raate road known for the battles of the Winter War. The departure takes place at the Raate road border crossing. The half marathon follows the same route as the marathon. Several war battle sites and memorials are located on the marathon route, i.e. you run in the original battle environment.
The length of the march is 18 km, from the beginning to the end of Raatte road, on a low-traffic gravel road, and there are service points along the route. The march can be completed by running, jogging, walking, or cycling.
