About: Hewat Athletics Club are excited to be hosting the 23rd Annual CAPE TOWN FESTIVAL OF RUNNING on Saturday 15th July and Sunday 16th July 2023. The event incorporates the WPA 21.1km Championship and 100km Championship.

To Qualify for team prizes, a team must consist of 5 registered members of the same Club, Company, or School. Proof of this may be required before prizes are issued. Teams unable to comply with this rule may still participate but will not compete for prizes. This allows teams to consist of anything from 1-5 persons. This includes persons running for more than one team. If a person runs for more than one team, then only the first team they run for shall be eligible for prize money. Teams consisting of persons from different clubs, companies or schools are not eligible for prizes money but may participate.
Eligibility to Participate - there is no minimum age for participation in the relay, but children under 12 years must be accompanied by an adult when competing.

Pre-race briefings:
Saturday at 06h30 for the 100 & 50 km
Saturday at 11h30 for the 5 x 5km Relay
Final race day information will be communicated in week leading up to race day.
A Tog Bag facility will be provided, at entrant's own risk.
Club gazebos will be allowed - no gas or open fires and no alcohol may be consumed, and these by-laws are punishable in terms of the City by-laws.
General refreshments will be on sale at venue.
