About: URITHI is a development athletics club formed in Nov 2019, our vision is to prepare future champs. We have three categories: Development, Elites & Social runners.
Three months after Urithi's formation, the world was hit with the Covid-19 pandemic, and hard lock downs were imposed. In keeping the vision of members and spirit of the running community alive, Urithi came up with creative initiatives amongst them was the "3D Challenge" that ran on the route. That is when the fast course was discovered, hence the race slogan:

In line with our vision, commitment and responsibility to prepare future champs (this doesn't only refer to Urithi members) we applied for a race and chose a route that will give athletes faster times. The route was tested by our finest runners on the 10km and 21km distances, thus we believe it (the route) is a game changer for faster times in Gauteng. Proceeds from the race will benefit the development structures within the club and the province.
