Fourth edition of our 60km Comrades Long Run in preparation for racing the comrades marathon on the 9th June 2024. This year it is bigger as we collaborate with Mogale Citizens Club and Brother & Sister hood training group. As per usual we have shorter distances, 21kms and 40kms.
All distances are designed to test your readiness for the comrades uprun race. The route has changed slightly, running around the cradle, out to Doreen Road, Robertbroom St and finishing with a down run. There will be 15 refreshment stations on route, however runners are welcome to drop off their favourite supplements at the start, clearly marked at which km mark they will need them.
Runners must be prepared to experience 60% of what they will encounter at comrades - perfect route to close the high mileage season. It time to test your shoes and clothes you will be using at Comrades. |
