About: The Parys Crater Street Mile is an annual event featuring a series of Street Miles for all ages. Our Mile is a World Certified Race and an ASA Qualifier for Free State Athletes.
Presented by the Parys Rotary Club in partnership with Parys Info & Tourism, and fueled by the spirit of our vibrant town, this event celebrates athleticism and passion for running while supporting our community.
The Parys Crater Street Mile comprises 10 Street Miles across various categories, ensuring everyone can participate. Whether you're a professional athlete or simply passionate about running and sportsmanship, we've got you covered!
The highlight of the event is the Elite Men's and Ladies' race, where the best of the best competes for top honors. ASA sanctioned and adhering to World Athletics standards, this event sets new benchmarks and offers a platform for greatness.
In addition, support our EMS Community Car initiative, a volunteer Emergency Medical Service by Rotary Parys. Our focus is to ensure that medical assistance is readily available to anyone in need, providing support and stabilizing patients until a doctor or ambulance can take over. Our Volunteer Emergency Medical Service is officially approved by the relevant Provincial Department of Health.

No ASA Licenses required for Athletes competing for Fun in their age categories.
NO TEMPORARY LICENSES will be sold on race day.
Athletes without an ASA license will participate as a fun runner in their event.
WA & ASA & AFS rules will apply & govern this event.
Race Number Collection:
Collect your race number from our collection venue. Please ensure to bring the race number confirmation e-mail with you to the Number Collection:
Friday 11 October, from 10:00 - 18:00, Parys Info and Tourism Centre
Saturday 12 October, from 05:00, Parys Info and Tourism Centre
Collecting for Others:
Entrants will be able to collect race numbers for fellow runners provided they bring a copy of the fellow runner's race number confirmation e-mail and ID.
No Substitutions will be available.
Any athletes competing in the event for ASA Qualifier or Elite Races must wear their ASA race numbers as per ASA requirements.
NO TEMPORARY LICENCES will be sold at this event. Athletes without an ASA license will participate in the FUN events.
