About: Red Star Raceway & Red Star Runners Athletics Club are excited to present the Red Star Marathon, incorporating a 42.2km, 21.1km, 10km, Official 5km and an Official 1 Mile (Streetmile)
The Marathon forms part of the Red Star Spring Festival being held at Red Star Raceway, starting on the Friday afternoon with a 12 hour cycling event which carries on through the night. The 42.2km, 21.1km and the 10km will start at 07:00 with a cut off of 6 hours.
The official 5km run will start at 12:45, followed by the 1 Mile (Streetmile) event at 14:00.
The day promises to be filled with entertainment for the whole family.
Gate entry fees for non-participants is R100.00 per adult and R50.00 per child under the age of 12 for the day. Participants and their families will not pay gate entry fees.
Pasta Party bookings for the evening of the 27th September at R120.00 per person available. Pasta Party from 19:00 with movies in the park at the Swimming pool area.
Camping spots available for booking at R250.00 for a 4-person stand.
Registration on Friday the 27th September from 11h00 in the Red Star Training Centre and Saturday morning from 05:30 on Saturday morning 28 September 2024.
Start Times
42.2km, 21.1km and 10km start at 07h00 and is a fully a circular route around the track which is fast and flatish!!!
The official 5km run starts at 12h45
The official 1 Mile (Streetmile) starts at 14h00
