About: The Nelson Mandela Foundation, in collaboration with the Gauteng Province, is set to honour the late President Nelson Mandela by hosting the Nelson Mandela Remembrance Walk and Run once again this year.
Join us on Sunday, December 8, 2024, for a meaningful tribute to Mandela's enduring legacy of unity and social justice. This year, we celebrate three significant milestones: the 11th anniversary of Madiba's passing, 25 years of impactful work by the Nelson Mandela Foundation, and South Africa's commemoration of 30 years of democracy.
Participants can choose from three distances: a 5km walk, and 10km and 21km runs.
Taking place in the City of Tshwane, Gauteng, the event offers both in-person and virtual participation options, bringing together South Africans and the global community to honour Mandela's vision for justice and equality.
Join us in walking or running to remember Madiba and to show your support for the Foundation's mission in a heartfelt expression of solidarity.
Event merchandise comprising a shirt and bag, is included in the entry price, however limited to the first 3000 entrants and should be collected at race number collection.
