About: Fat Cats Athletic Club will be hosting the 7th instalment of the Fat Cats 10K race which also feature the popular 5km timed race. The race will take place on 12 October 2025 at Mall of Africa, Waterfall City. Come and experience the warm spirit that Fat Cats are renowned for and choose between the two distances.
In living to its tag line, "A Run for the Whole Family", the race also offers activities for the younger ones with a 1.6km Kitten Miler and 250m Nappy Dash events.
Important:
i. Online entries will close on Saturday, 11 October 2025 or when 2 500 entries across all events have been reached, whichever comes first.
ii. Complimentary goodie bag to the first 1000 entries across the 10km and 5km distances only.
i. Bulk entries will be taken up to 19 September 2025. Bulk entry vouchers are subject to all the rules applicable to the race including the criteria set for goodie bag and purchase of race t-shirts. Race vouchers must be redeemed online before the closing date or before race capacity is reached, whichever comes first. No refunds or credit will be processed for vouchers not redeemed.
iii. No refunds, exchanges, or cancellations will be granted in respect of entry fees, as a result of the race being cancelled on account of weather, errors by participants when entering online, or any unforeseen circumstances beyond the control of the event organizers.
No entries will be available on race day. Medals to all finishers.

Saturday, 11 October 2025, between 10:00 - 18:00 at Mall of Africa, Waterfall City
Race day, 12 October 2025, between 04:30 - 06:30 at Mall of Africa, Waterfall City (Collection only)
A limited number of entries may be available on Friday & Saturday before race day on a first come, first grab basis. Manual entries will attract an administration fee of R20 across all events and distances.

5km starts at 07:15am
Kitten Miler starts at 09:10am
Nappy Dash starts at 09:10am
Cut off time for 5km is 08:45am and the 10km is 09:30am

Race Support & Facilities:
- Waterpoints at every 3kms for 10km, at 2,5km for 5km and at the finish.
- Parking is available at user's cost at Mall of Africa from 04h30 at a weekend flat rate of R10.
