Prepare your running shoes, as the Nelson Mandela Foundation and Gauteng Province are rolling out the red carpet for the Nelson Mandela Remembrance Walk and Run! Save the date for Sunday, December 7, 2025, as we honour Madiba's enduring legacy of unity and social justice.
Join us in commemorating the 12th anniversary of Mandela's passing, ensuring that our first democratically elected president's legacy continues to thrive.

Taking place in the vibrant City of Tshwane, Gauteng, you can participate either in person or virtually. Start Times
- 10 & 21 km run starts at 06h30 on Government Road at the Union Buildings
- 5 km walk starts at 08h30 on Government Road at the Union Buildings
All race proceeds will go towards the work of the Nelson Mandela Foundation, keeping his legacy alive.
