Red Star Raceway and Red Star Runners Athletics Club proudly invite you to one of South Africa's most unique road running experiences - the Red Star Sunset Marathon.
Whether you're taking on the 42.2km Marathon, 21.1km Half Marathon, 10km Race or Fun Run, you'll experience the thrill of running on the iconic Red Star Raceway circuit as the sun sets and the track comes alive under lights.

START TIMES
All events start at 18:00 (6:00 PM).
Please note that this is a sunset and night event, allowing runners to enjoy a completely different marathon experience under the lights.
GENERAL INFORMATION
- Safe parking available.
- Water and refreshment stations every 2km.
- Fast, circular and "flat-ish" route.
- Finisher medals for every participant.
- Medical services stationed around the circuit and at the finish.
- The entire route will be illuminated for safe night running.
- Neon visibility bands will be provided to all participants.
- Club gazebos and support tents are welcome.
- All gazebos and tents must be removed from the circuit after 00:00 (midnight).
- Ablution facilities are available around the circuit.
- No open fires, braais or flames are permitted anywhere on the track.
- Race direction: ANTI-CLOCKWISE
TIME KEEPING AND RESULTS
- Time keeping will be done by Peak Timing.
- No prize money will be paid out in cash. Please bring valid Driver's License, Passport, Birth Certificate with photo attached (18 and younger) and banking details.
