About:
EVENT OVERVIEW
- Distance: 8km Fun Run (Non-competitive)
- Purpose: Health, fitness, community fun, raising awareness about cleaning and beautification of South Africa
- Start/Finish: Sophiatown Extreme Park, 1km away from Westdene Dam
- Start Time: 07:30
ELIGIBILITY
- Open to all ages.
- Under 12 years must be accompanied by an adult/guardian.
- Under 18 years requires signed consent from a parent/guardian.
- No age restriction for walkers, but you must be able to complete 8km within 2 hours.
REGISTRATION
- No registration = No participation. No race number, no entry.
- Registration is non-transferable and non-refundable.
- Race number must be collected before race day or on race morning before 05:30.
- Race numbers must be worn in front and visible at all times.
RACE CATEGORIES
- Junior: 12 - 17 years
- Open: 18 - 39 years
- Masters: 40 - 49 years
- Veterans: 50+ years
- Walkers & Social Runners welcome
PRIZES
- Fun Run is about fun, but a Lucky draw for lucky participants.
- No prize money disputes on the day.
GENERAL
- Organizers reserve the right to cancel or change route due to weather or safety.
- No refunds for weather cancellation - entry rolls to next event.
- Please carpool and arrive 1 hour before the start.
