About:
Welcome to the annual Jeppe Balwin Ten10 Challenge, a cornerstone event in our running community that blends personal endurance with heartfelt charity.
Born years ago, to support a special cause, this challenge has evolved into an annual tradition, rallying our members to push their limits for a greater good. This year we will be bringing a difference to the challenge, by ending with a morning celebrating Jeppe Athletics' 50th Birthday!
The Challenge: 10 x 10 = 100
The mission is simple yet demanding; run or walk 10 kilometres every day for 10 consecutive days. By the end of the ten days, participants will have conquered a total of 100 kilometres - a true test of perseverance and dedication.
More Than Just Miles: Over the 10 days of the Challenge we will be supporting the below 3 charities.
HAWS (Hartebeespoort Animal Welfare Society); Theo Jackson Foundation; Pink Drive (Bra Bash)
We encourage every participant to bring a donation item each day to contribute to our supported animal charity. Together, we can gather a mountain of essential supplies, including:
Food & Treats: Dog and cat food
Comfort & Play: Toys, blankets, and bedding
Care & Cleanliness: Cleaning supplies, waste disposal bags, brooms and other cleaning hardware.
This dual challenge embodies the true spirit of our club: striving for personal goals while extending a hand (or a paw!) to those who need it most. It's about going the distance, on the road and in our community.
Thank you for being a part of this incredible journey. Lace up, log your kilometres, and let's make this year's Jeppe Balwin Ten10 the most impactful one yet, finishing with our 50th Birthday Celebrations! |
