About:
'The 'Shiplake Scramble' is a multi terrain 10k course taking in tarmac lanes, farm tracks, farmland as well as the Thames towpath.
This is a fanastic run starting at Shiplake College, an independent school on the banks of the River Thames, through farmland and tracks towards Sonning and then back in part along the picturesque Thames towpath. There are ups and downs and varying terrains making it a great challenge for all and a tough race for those at the front.
As it's classified multi terrain we can't get the distance certificate but we have measured it as accurately as we can.
The Start and Finish are on sports fields within the grounds of Shiplake College where there will be refreshments, entertainment for spectators, local childrens 1k races and trade stands.' |
